Make Perfect Cake Pops

Oh boy.. Now this was fun! Sometime ago a very dear friend had a gender reveal cake to find out the sex of their first born. They had family over, cut the cake and found out what they were having. I thought it was an absolute fabulous idea and I wanted to get in on the fun. So when we found out that we were having another baby that was part of the plan from day dot!

I got talking to one of my lovely cake friends - Catherine from Sweet Empire and she was thrilled to bits in doing a cake for me. It was booked. That night though at like 4am in the morning.. I woke up with a thought… 'It needs to be cake pops - not a cake.. I'm all about cake pops!' So the decision was made. Cake pops it was.

I got chatting to a friend/student - Eleni and before I knew it was all happening. Dirk and I had our ultrasound, the lady wrote the gender on a piece of paper, sealed it in an envelope and I'm off meeting Eleni to hand over the details.

Originally I wanted to have all my close friends and family over but after my Jacobs (my son) 2nd birthday party - the thought of having another large do was just too much so I kept it to just family.

The cake pops were delivered the night before, champagne was ordered and the tapas were getting made. It was all pretty exciting I must say. And to be honest, if we were to have another baby I would do it all over again. It was so much fun compared to finding out while you're on the table in the little room. Having a baby is really a true blessing and one of the best gifts you could ever receive in your life. I think all parts of having a baby deserves a celebration.

Next time though I think the friends will need to be invited.. Some weren't impressed they weren't there.. LOL.. But it's here for you to view and enjoy!

Every time I watch it I get all warm and fuzzy. Very lucky to have what I have. And thank you also to you for being a part of the ride.

Enjoy! Miranda xxx
